The Department of Posts under the Ministry of Communications will organise five thousand Dak Chaupals across the country in the next 100 days. Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia reviewed the 100-Day Action Plan of the Department of Posts and discussed various initiatives to transform service delivery and enhance efficiency.

The Ministry said that under this initiative the Dak Chaupals will serve as vital links between rural residents and government functions, reducing barriers such as distance and accessibility. The Department also aims to bring 3000 new exporters onto the Dak Ghar Niryat Kendra Portal in 100 days to bolster rural exports by supporting small-scale exporters.

Under this initiative, essential services including documentation assistance, market information, bar-coded label printing, and paperless customs clearance will be provided. Furthermore, the Department will establish a standardized, geo-coded addressing system in India to simplify and enhance public and private delivery services.
