In China, thousands of people in the eastern Chinese tourist city of Huangshan have been evacuated and dozens of scenic attractions closed as torrential rain continues to lash parts of this region.
Heavy rain has battered the city of Huangshan, Anhui Province, since June 18. Over four lakh residents had been affected, and more than fifty thousand people had been evacuated as of Sunday. A total of 43 national A-level tourist attractions in Huangshan have been temporarily shut down due to the extreme weather.
China’s National Meteorological Centre forecast torrential rain in parts of Anhui, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, and Guizhou.
