In , only women security officials to be deployed in 157 polling booths: Chief Electoral Officer Maneesh Garg

In Himachal Pradesh Assembly Elections, 157 polling booths will be such where women officers and employees will be posted. Talking exclusively to AIR News, Chief Electoral Officer( CEO) of Himachal Pradesh Maneesh Garg said, only women security officials will be deployed in these booths.

Voting for all 68 Assembly Constituencies in Himachal Pradesh will be held on 12th November. Mr Garg said, for the convenience of voters, water, tea and juice will be served in these booths. He said, on polling day, a vehicle facility will be provided to aged voters by the Election Commission to bring them to voting booths. The CEO said Selfie points are also being arranged at selected polling stations. He appealed voters of Himachal Pradesh to come and vote in large numbers and make the festival of democracy a big success.
