US Stocks Drop On Higher Labor Costs And Weaker Consumer Sentiment

Key US stocks ended lower yesterday as investors assessed economic indicators revealing increased labour expenses and declining consumer sentiment, coinciding with a pivotal Federal Reserve policy meeting focused on interest rate direction.

The S&P 500 lost 1.56 per cent, Nasdaq Composite declined two per cent. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1.47 per cent.
