Domestic benchmark indices rallied in early trade today. The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange climbed 226 points to trade at 80,124 in opening session. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange went up by 82 points to trade at 24,398. In Asian markets, Hong Kong quoted higher while Seoul, Tokyo and Shanghai traded lower. US markets ended mostly lower on Thursday. The rupee opened flat at 83 rupees 53 paise against the US currency in early trade amid firm crude oil prices and gains in domestic stocks.
