Economic data aided the market to expect for the much awaited Policy Easing Cycle by the Fed. The Market’s acceptance of the data led Nasdaq and S&P to hit record closing highs on Wednesday (5th June 2024).
The Nasdaq gained around two per cent, the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 0.25 per cent and the S&P 500 rose 1.2 per cent.
