In Tennis, India’s Ankita Raina advanced to the Quarter-finals of the WTA Veneto Open tournament in Gaiba, Italy last evening. Ankita defeated Irina Bara of Romania, 6-2, 2-6, 6-Nil, in the women’s singles pre-quarters. She will take on Susan Bandecchi of Switzerland in the Quarter-final tomorrow.
The Veneto Open is a WTA 125-level professional women’s tennis tournament.
