All possible measures taken up by Health Department to control Dengue cases, says Manipur Health Minister

In Manipur, the State Health Minister Dr. S. Ranjan has said that all possible measures have been taken up by the Health Department to control Dengue cases in the State. While speaking in a press conference in Imphal today, the Minister said that some of the districts of the State had reported increasing trends of Dengue cases from the past few days. Among the districts, Churachandpur district witnessed a fresh surge in Dengue cases with a total of 58 cases reported in the district in the current year.Dr. S. Ranjan said that Manipur has recorded a total of 358 Dengue cases for the current year till yesterday which is the highest in the State so far. The State Health Department has formed Surveillance teams and these teams have been spread to the infected areas and awareness measures have also been taken up. The fogging is going on now.The Minister also said that the media play a big role to create awareness in the public and urged the local media to enlighten the general public on how to control the further spreading of Dengue cases in Manipur.
