The eagerly awaited movie “Animal,” featuring Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor, is slated for a grand release in Indian cinemas on December 1st. In a strategic move, the film will premiere a day earlier in the United States, on November 30th. Showcasing its international appeal, “Animal” will be screened on 888 screens across the US.
In a remarkable start to its journey, the film has already garnered a significant sum of $5,000 (approximately 4.16 lakh rupees) through advance bookings for its opening night show in the US.
The much-anticipated first show of “Animal” is scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM on November 30th. This number of screenings surpasses that of other notable Bollywood releases like “Pathan,” “Jawan,” “Jailer,” and Ranbir Kapoor’s own “Brahmastra,” which was shown on 810 screens in the US.
As the release date approaches, the advance booking for “Animal” has seen an upswing. Till Thursday, 1500 tickets had been sold in America across 172 locations, where over 340 shows are planned. These sales have contributed a total of $26,433 (around 22.01 lakh rupees).
“Animal” is expected to face stiff competition from Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming film “Sam Bahadur,” as both movies are set to release on the same day. “Animal” boasts a star-studded cast, including Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Tripti Dimri. Initially planned for an August 11th release, it was postponed to December 1st due to post-production delays. “Sam Bahadur,” directed by Meghna Gulzar, will feature Vicky Kaushal in the lead role of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.
