Jaisalmer: Maru Mhotsav (Jaisalmer Desert Festival 2021) will be organized in Jaisalmer from 24 February to 27 February. Jaisalmer District Collector released the logo of Jaisalmer Desert Festival 2021 on Monday.
This year the theme of the Desert Festival will be new year, new hope and new celebration. District Collector Ashish Modi informed that the Maru Mahotsav (Jaisalmer Desert Festival) will be organized from 24 February to 27 February.
Taking serious preparations for Maru Mahotsav (Jaisalmer Desert Festival), he appealed to the departmental officers and common citizens of the district to decorate and clean the entire city and to have intimate participation in all the events of Maru Mahotsav.
District Collector Modi released the logo of Maru Mahotsav (Jaisalmer Desert Festival) and called upon the district residents to spread it more and more, use it on social media and participate fully in all activities related to Maru Mahotsav.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Collector Ashish Modi regarding successful planning, scheduling and preparation of Maru Mahotsav 2021.
In detail about various types of events like Rammat Drama, Horse Run, Various Competitions, Painting, Heritage Walk, Folk Dance, Miss Moomal, Mr. Desert, Cultural Program, Panihari, Matka Race, Camel Polo etc. during the meeting. is discussed.
Under the festival, Star Night will be organized in 4 different places Khuri, Gadisar, Jaisalmer and Sam.
District Collector Modi discussed the events to be held at various tourist places located in the city. He appealed to all the citizens of the district to decorate their house during Maru Festival and make Rangoli in front of the house. He informed that during the Maru Mahotsav, proper rewards will be given by the administration for decorating their own houses. He appealed to the people of the district to make Maru Mahotsav better.
Modi described the Maru Mahotsav as the identity of Jaisalmer and said that night tourism would be encouraged during the Maru Mahotsav this year. District Collector Modi said that the live broadcast of Maru Mahotsav-2021 will be done on YouTube.
Digital walls will be installed at railway stations, air ports and other places in the city for information about the daily programs of Maru Mahotsav, so that tourists can get information about the programs to be held in Maru Mahotsav.
